According to a report from Deadline, an “Untitled Jordan Peele Project” from Universal is one of several features to get approved by the state of California for tax credits. In fact, Peele’s project is set to earn approximately $8.3 million in tax credits, if applicable. But budgetary concerns aside, we still have no idea what this film might be. We know that Peele is very tight-lipped when it comes to his features. For months, we only knew the title and cast for “Us” without knowing a single thing about the premise. And the only reason we knew more about “Get Out” is the fact that it had a festival premiere and built buzz organically before anyone had any clue that film was going to be a cultural phenomenon.
